fishball

Today is the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. So, I attended the mass and went home, afterwards. As I was walking, I passed a fishball stand. I don't know what came over me, I don't usually buy fishball to vendors I don't know. But since, I felt there's a craving for me to eat fishball, I bought worth five pesos and also, together with it, in another stand I bought a 'buko' juice. It was really a good combination or maybe I'm just hungry? Well, I got satisfied with what I've eaten.. I really felt, full and for me, it was as if i've eaten a sumptuous meal. It was really good for my stomach.. As I was about to finish my one-stick fishball, a group of volunteer Catechist came to me, I offered them if they want they can get fishball, it's on me. But, maybe they didn't hear me co'z they refused me.. So, I continued eating. Then, one of the girls asked me if she can get, I replied without batting an eyelash, sure. I told her, charge on me and so the other girl asked, if it's true, co'z she will also get a stick.. I told her, it's okay, they can get worth five pesos each. They were the one who bought their drinks.. And, so they thanked me.

What's the connection? From the retreat, I was reminded of a thought i've learned a long time ago, and that is, "Do your best and God will do the rest." In Tagalog, "Nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa." Funny, but what I felt when I saw the fishball stand was that I felt hungry even if i'm really not hungry.. I'm now reflecting that maybe, God used me to be there, for those young people who loves to serve God. You may say, so cheap, for worth five pesos each. But i've came to realize, I also want to help people who knows how to help themselves and not solely depends their weaknesses on other people. You may say, that's tough.. But, really, life is not just hard but tough.. We have to be strong despite the conditions we are in.. We have to depend solely on God's intervention, but He didn't say, just sit down and relax instead, He said, "pray to the fullest and I will give you the desire of your heart."

how do i love thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways, according to Elizabeth Browning.. I really can't count how many times I can love.. It may even be a cliche' to talk about love.. It's the most abused word.. But why can't people stop falling in love?

I have loved and been loved, as the old saying goes.. But, eventhough, I've been hurt countless times, I still don't stop loving.. Why? I know that in loving there's this wonderful feeling that overflows me.. I feel God's presence in loving.. It may sound absurd to others, but being in love with God gave me an intimate closeness with Him.. Feel Him from other people, feel His goodness from those people who were hurt too.. Yes, God is truly amazing.. His love overwhelms me, to the point of writing this blog.. I cannot magnify His omnipresence in my life, your life, our life.. He's the best giver, the best of all..

I have been hurt and had hurt other people.. When no one turns to me to even ask me, how I felt, there's Him, our mighty saviour.. God never abandons His people.. He simply shows how much He cares for you.. He just show you how much He loves you..

Lord, I will be forever indebted to you.. Though, I know you don't want me to owe you or anything, you just simply want me to love you.. And, I love you, my God..
